Who are OPL?

Other People's Leisure started the way a lot of good things do - two people with too many music opinions and not enough of an outlet for them. Craig A and Craig P met through Fife band 'The Draymin', bonded over a shared love of music that didn't fit neatly into any one genre, and eventually decided the best way to spend their leisure time was making their own.

The name is a nod to Trainspotting.  Being from the east of Scotland, that means something to them - but there's a philosophy behind it too. Once a track is made and released, it stops being theirs. It belongs to the person on the dance floor, the commuter with headphones on, and the late night drive home. That's always been the goal: to make something that lands.

We're a live audiovisual act. The music is melodic, textured electronic - somewhere between the urgency of a festival stage and the intimacy of a late-night room - and the visuals are built and performed live alongside it. We were BBC Introducing Scotland 'Featured Artists' in April 2026, and we've been building steadily since: releases, live shows across Edinburgh and Glasgow, and interest from labels that we're cautiously excited about.

2026 is the year we stop being cautious. New singles dropping, live dates throughout the year, and an album in the autumn. We're also launching a teaching side to OPL - sharing what we know about production and live performance - because we both believe that what goes around comes around.

If you're here, you're already part of it.
